The planning application for the Blackstone Edge Wind Farm has been submitted to Barnsley Council.  The application went in on 23 January 2008, though it is likely to take up to 10 working days for it to be officially registered.
To follow up on the submission there will be a public exhibition on 12 February 2008.  This will be held at Crowedge Community Centre between 12:30pm and 7:30pm. EON will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about the proposals and tell you about how you can get involved in the planning process.
The exhibition will be advertised in the Barnsley Chronicle on Friday 1 February and a newsletter will be delivered to over 3,000 local homes over the same period.  The website (www.eon-uk.com/generation/blackstoneedge.aspx) is also in the process of being updated for 1 February.  This will have a link to the news letter and also the planning application documents.

Due to the proximity of these proposed wind turbines to the already approved ones at Crowedge, the Parish Council are objecting to the planning application for the Blackstone Edge Development.

Although the Parish Council are objecting to the application, it will need everyone to put their views and concerns in writing to the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council planning department.

You can write to the Council at the following address to comment on the proposal:
